I woke last night to the sound of thunder
For those who have not heard elsewhere, it is with profound sadness that I pass on the news that Jim, my ex-husband, died last week.
His ribald sense of humor, love of music, deeply ingrained decency, generosity of spirit - there are many things to miss about him. Not a day goes by that I don't see or hear something and automatically say, "I'll have to email Jim and see what he thinks about that."
Please keep Jim's family, especially his mom, in your thoughts. I could not have asked for better in-laws, and we will always be family.
I bid a reluctant farewell to the only man who could strut convincingly while pushing a vacuum cleaner.
