Why are we sitting in the closet?

Smile and say "fungus"

You'd think I coulda grabbed a better outfit, havin' primo seats in the closet and all. Who thought this was a good place to pose? And what unspoken drama betwixt Mom and Rebel here?

I think it's open to interpretation, people. Don't disappoint me.

23 of you felt the overwhelming need to say somethin':

That is an awesome picture! It should be famous!

One of the best oldie photos I've ever seen. The expressions are so expressive they're just hysterical.

Easy. Dad squeezed Rebel's belly revealing that Bucky did in fact share the fried chicken. Thus the color tinting. Doggy gas a'plenty.

La Pix - I know, that one cracks me up, too. I'm sure that's not my everyday smile. Must be my Sunday go-to-meetin' smile. And Rebel lookin' all noble and sedate - HA! Five minutes from panties demolition.

La Pix, we are all a bunch of hams in this family. As you can see, the dog is the only one without much expression. I don't know how that dumb mutt ended up in the family. Except, um, I think I was begging for a dog. *digging toe in dirt*

(Mom's thoughts) Is now a good time to tell the hubby that the dog was diligently and thoroughly tonguing his own ass and balls before he slobbered all over my hubby's face, and even slipped him some inavertent tongue??

"Don't disappoint me."

A pink razor, Kristine? Sounds like a long story that longs to be told. C'mon, spill it, girlie!

LadyBug - well, we are from Kentucky, so you might have a point (sorry, Mr. B).

Dazed - Monsters are the most IN-TER-ES-TING people.

You'll all be proud to know that we adapted to indoor plumbing not long after this picture was took.

A hush fell over the closet as Rebel slowly realized that with Dad being laid off and Mom's not being able to sell her quilts 'cause of the snow storms that had trapped the family, there was nothing for Christmas dinner this year.

Why is everyone looking at me like that, he thought?

Soon enough poor Rebel would find out. Who knew beagle went so well with cranberry sauce?

It looks like you and Rebel share a secret.

Maybe he discovered your assless chaps?

"A hush fell over the closet"
That may just be the best starter since "It was a dark and stormy night"
Beagle in cranberry...mmmmmmm..

And Torrie -- if only assless chaps were the worst of the secrets I shared with Rebel.

And just how do you think they got assless? They were pants when I bought 'em.
